The new red Tourigas da Discórdia

The new red Tourigas da Discórdia is getting attention from media outlets that specialize in wine; Vinhos Grandes Escolhas is among them.

“The lands of Mértola have impressed with the originality of their wines. It was time to combine two Tourigas (Nacional and Franca), a rare blend in Alentejo lands, launched by  Herdade Vale D’Évora”, writes Vinhos Grandes Escolhas.

Tourigas da Discórdia was not previously planned, explains the magazine: “It ended up happening because of the admirable complementarity that we found during the final tastings in the cellar at the end of the year. Touriga Nacional – more elegant, more acute, closer to the front of the mouth – gains some depth when blended with Touriga Franca, which is more middle of the mouth, and leads to a fuller sensation together”.
